BISD Assistant Superintendent Meets to Discuss Athletic Complex Location
KFDM News was at the Jefferson County Courthouse when Assistant BISD Superintendent Terry Ingram and an attorney representing the school board met with county officials to discuss the possibility of building the planned school athletic complex at the site of the amphitheater at Ford Park.
Ingram was accompanied by Melody Chappell, an attorney representing the BISD school board. They met with Commissioner Bo Alfred and an assistant to the County Judge.
Superintendent Dr. Carrol Thomas didn't attend the meeting. He was at the administration building attending the annual superintendent/student appreciation Valentine's Day luncheon.
The school district says the Ford Park location is one of at least three the district is considering for the athletic complex.
No decisions were made at Thursday's meeting.
