Searchers find child reported missing

JASPER COUNTY - Searchers have found a child reported missing earlier Monday near Kirbyville, according to Steve Stewart with KJAS Radio.

The Jasper County Sheriff's Department and Emergency Corps began searching for a missing four-year-old boy at about 10 a.m. Monday.  He was found at about noon. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office provided a helicopter to assist with the search.

Searchers looked for the child on Bon Ami Road, about three miles east of U.S. Highway 96, just north of Kirbyville. Officials say the boy, who is named Logan, is autistic, and is possibly unable to speak.
