Entergy Restores Power
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Updated 9:30PM: As of 9pm, Entergy reports the following numbers of customers without power due to severe weather earlier this evening.

A total of 3149 customers will without power. Entergy hopes to have these customers back on by 6am Wednesday morning.
Thousands of customers have already had power restored. As of 5pm approximately 8700 people had lost electricity primarily due to lightning and wind.
Updated 5:40 PM: KFDM has a report of a vehicle struck by lightning near the Rainbow Bridge. The driver was not hurt
According to Mike Rogers from Entergy, there are nearly 8,000 power outages in the viewing area:
- 4,600 - Port Arthur
- 2,490 - Orange, Vidor and Bridge City
- 470 - Beaumont and Sour Lake
- 300 - Silsbee
The power outages are all storm related, some being lightning related.
KFDM is also on the scene of a house fire on the 1000 block of Amarillo Street in Beaumont. Beaumont Fire reports a vacant house was fully engulfed in flames.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 4:45 P.M. for Tyler County.
A severe thunderstorm is located just northwest of Woodville and is moving to the southeast about 12 mph.
