Suspects sought in Beaumont shooting

Police are on the look out tonight for several suspects in connection with a shooting.

Police say a large fight broke out at this convenience store on the corner of Avenue C and Franklin, around 5:30 this evening.

Witnesses told officers several people crowded around one man with weapons that included machetes, chains and a 2X4 piece of lumber.

Police say that man was eventually shot three times in his thighs.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition while police collected evidence at the scene.
