Former Beaumont news reporter turned author lands movie deal

HOUSTON -- ReShonda Tate Billingsley is an author of 17 books, all published by Simon and Schuster/Pocket Books. One novel titled "Let the Church Say Amen," is being made into a movie with Tate Billingsley as executive producer, according to her Web site www.reshondatatebillingsley.com.
Tate Billingsley, a former television and radio news reporter, has worked in journalism for more than two decades. She currently is a co-host of From Cover to Cover, a literary talk radio show and an editor for the Houston Defender newspaper. Tate Billingsley, of Houston, has worked as an anchor and reporter for NBC, ABC and FOX television stations in Beaumont, Texas, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Houston. She left her job in 2007 at FOX News in Houston to write full-time, according to the author's Web site.
Tate Billingsley's upcoming books include "The Devil is a Lie" schedule for release July 7, and "Caught up in the Drama" and "Holy Rollers" for released in 2010. Her published books include "Can I Get a Witness," "The Pastor's Wife," "Let the Church Say Amen," "Nothing But Drama" and "Getting Even."
