Teachers Not Complaining About 'Surprise'

Teachers usually don't like anything to interrupt their classroom time with students, but several educators in Port Arthur who made an exception Wednesday probably aren't complaining.

The Port Arthur Public School Foundation surprised the educators, including Janice Trahan, a pre-k teacher at Wheatley Early Childhood Center, with grants.

Janice and two other teachers each received $1,000 grants for programs they developed.

Each year the foundation hands out thousands of dollars worth of grants to Port Arthur teachers.
