SAN ANTONIO (AP) - San Antonio police say a woman faces a capital murder charge after her weeks-old son was stabbed and beheaded. The woman is hospitalized with self-inflicted stab wounds. Police removed a sword, a machete and a kitchen knife from the residence.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A tip led Austin police to a man now charged with killing a couple in their home in apparent drug-related shootings. Police say it appears the gunman owed money to victim John Goosey. Also killed was Goosey's girlfriend, Stacy Barnett. Their funeral is today in Houston. Bail has been denied for James Richard "Ricky" Thompson.

CLEAR LAKE, Texas (AP) - A Clear Lake family has their dog back more than ten months after Hurricane Ike damaged their home. The Blue Lacy named Daizy was taken to a kennel, but ran away.
