'First-of-its-Kind' Development in Southeast Texas
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A multi million dollar development will offer housing and a measure of independence to adults with mental illness in Southeast Texas.
Developers broke ground Wednesday morning on the Roselawn Manor apartment community off 37th Street in Orange County.
Within a year, they expect to open the apartments and duplexes on the grounds of the old Salk Elementary School.
They hope to use the school as a community building to provide activities for the men and women who live in the apartments.
Developers call the complex the first-of-its-kind in Southeast Texas.
