As the year ends, KFDM would like to revisit some of the top video stories in 2008.

Hurricane Ike domintates this top 25 list, but throughout the year, more than 3 million videos were viewed by Southeast Texans and many former residents of the area right here on KFDM.com. 

Another proud note is that users submitted their own video here in 2008. A couple of the videos were from the viewer's perspective.

1. More Raw Video Of Beaumont Damage - This was the most viewed video in 2008. This is raw footage of Beaumont shot the morning after the storm.

2. Woman Stranded In Attic Calls In - During the hurricane, a woman from Bridge City calls KFDM and speaks with Dan and Greg, announcing she is in her attic and flood waters are rising.

3. Raw Video: Idiot Versus Ike - Photographer Drue Barrilleaux shot video of this man in a west end parking lot as the storm arrived.

4. Officer Attacked with 5LB Weight- this police officer, Dennis Hankins, spoke to KFDM while in a hospital bed, about the dangers behind law enforcement. 

5. Scenes From Sabine Pass - There were cows on the steps of the high school.

6. 11AM Storm Surge In Bridge City - Greg Picazo gave this initial report from Orange County on the rising flood waters more than 12 hours before Cow Bayou flooded.

7. Fire Destroys Beaumont Home - Away from the storm, this story was about a man who prayed in his front yard while watching his home burn down.

8. Bill Leger Battles Ike - ok we have to throw in one of our personalities trying to fight hurricane force winds!

9. Upper Texas Coast Wreckage - Aerial shots from KHOU in Houston of the coastline wreckage.

10. Video of house collapsing after fire - Our photographers were rolling when this gutted out structure collapsed after a house fire in June.

11. Video Of Bourque, Desormeaux Leaving Dylans - This was surveillance footage from a Mid-County bar of a suspected killer leaving with the victim.

12. The Destruction On Bolivar - An close look at the damage Ike left behind on one of Southeast Texas' most visited beaches.

13. Raw Video: I-10 Backed Up - This was video of Interstate-10 backed up when Gustav was headed to town. Of course we all know that storm did not hit us.

14. Lady Dogs Going To State! - The Nederland softball team clinched a trip to the state tournament in Austin after defeating Barber's Hill this past spring.

15. USER VIDEO: The West Orange River - Glad to place this video on the list. A user from Orange County shot this video and submitted flooding in city limits.

16. Raw video of Port Acres - Powerful flood video from the morning after the storm.

17. Caught on Tape: Kid in Store at 3AM - One of the most bizarre stories of the holiday season!

18. Log Truck Crashes Into Train - This accident was sent in by our affiliate KJAS...

19. Cows Running Wild On Hwy 73 - the title says it all, Hurricane Ike left these animals runnin' wild.

20. Video Of Equipment Falling Into Sinkhole - The Daisetta sinkhole was one of the top news stories last spring. This is a really sweet video.

21. Video of Early Morning Snow - Yes, we sort of had a snow day in 2008, but the kids still had to go to school!

22. Car, Body Found In Canal - We received this phone call during a midweek afternoon. This accident happened on HWY 90 in Jefferson County.

23. USER VIDEO: Backyard and snow fortress - Another user video. The viewer just picks up the camera and shows off their yard.

24. Wildcats Are Going To State! - Kirbyville clinches a trip to the Texas Class 2A State Title game.

25. Complete Game: Buna vs Hemphill - This was perhaps the greatest comeback by any Southeast Texas athletic team in 2008. Buna trailed Hemphill 8-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, and then scores 8 runs to take the lead going into the final frame.

On Wednesday, KFDM will compile a list and revisit the top 10 news stories of 2008.
