BEAUMONT-The public is encouraged to attend a town hall meeting to discuss more efficient and effective options for building and/or renovating auditoriums. Set for 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the Board Room of the Administration Building at 3395 Harrison Avenue, the meeting is hosted by the Board of Trustees of the Beaumont Independent School District.

Board President Woodrow Reece said the the town hall meeting will focus on considerations to build an 800-seat auditorium at West Brook High School, renovating the current 650-seat auditorium at Ozen High School and a new district-wide auditorium at the multi-purpose complex.  The district-wide complex would then have a natatorium, a stadium and a 1,000+ seat performance center.

"We are having the town hall meeting to gain public input. It is something we promised the community we would do as part of the voter approved $388 million facilities improvement bond issue," Reece added.
