There is a possibility Erika will strengthen in the next day or two and become a hurricane.

The forecast track should keep Erika moving west-northwest for the next two days.

The Southeast Texas forecast continues to be pleasant with low humidity, northeast winds and morning temperatures in the upper 50's to low 60's for the Lakes and lower to middle 60's in the Triangle.  The high should remain in the upper 80's.

Our rain chances pick up as we move toward the weekend.  There's a 40% chance of rain Friday, 50% Saturday and 40% Sunday.
