The Orange County Water Control and Improvement District #1 has rescinded a water conservation request.

A broken well prompted the request earlier this week. 

It affected about 4,600 customers in Vidor and the surrounding area.

Workers have finished repairs.

The district didn't have to issue a boil water notice.
