Beaumont Police are investigating a dispute about a woman that began on Crockett Street and ended in Beaumont's West End with shots fired and a man injured by a golf club.

Police say at about 3 a.m. Thursday they were called to the 600 block of Goodhue where shots had been fired.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a 20 year old Beaumont man with a gunshot wound to his leg and his foot, and a 26 year old Vidor man who had received a gunshot wound to his forearm.

Investigation learned the disturbance began at a bar on Crockett Street where the parties involved were told to leave.

The group met again in the 600 block of Goodhue where the disturbance turned into a fight and one person had a gun.

Police say two people began to fight over the firearm until it discharged, injuring two men. They both had minor injuries.

The people who were hurt initially refused medical attention for their injuries.

A 20 year old man later went to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth for treatment of a bump he received to his head from a golf club.

Those involved in the fight refused to file charges.
