Child Doing Well After Near Drowning

The Jefferson County sheriff says a two year old boy is doing well after he nearly drowned in his family's pool.

Sheriff Mitch Woods says when the family on Grimes Road didn't see the boy just after dark Tuesday night , they began looking for him.

Relatives spotted him at the bottom of the pool.

They got him out and his grandfather immediately started CPR.

The 2 year old was taken to a Beaumont hospital and then flown to UTMB in Galveston.
