BEAUMONT - Beaumont police are searching for a gunman who robbed a Wendy's restaurant employee and took the night deposit bag. '

Police responded to the robbery at about 2:15 a.m. Monday, July 16 at the Wendy's in the 4500 block of Dowlen.
The victim was leaving the business with the night deposit and was walking to a vehicle parked in the front of the business. The victim and several other witnesses noticed a man walking toward them from the east side of Wendy's.
The attacker pointed a black handgun in the face of the employee and said, "If you don't give me the money, I will shoot."
The victim gave the robber the bag containing the money. The gunman was last seen running toward IHOP.
The witness described the robber as a dark skinned black man, 6'', 210 lbs, wearing a blue shirt, dark shorts with stripes on the side, a black bandana covering the lower portion of his face and white tennis shoes.
