VIDOR - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the death of a worker who was injured at a Vidor Company.

According to a news release from Southeast Texas Industries, at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday a work-related incident occurred at the Southeast Texas Industries Vidor facility involving a 40-year-old man from Orange.
Medical attention was administered by the on-site Safety Team until EMS arrived.
The man was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth where he was later pronounced dead.
The company isn't releasing the man's name until relatives are notified.
"We are deeply grieved concerning this incident and would like to extend our prayers for the family and express our deepest sympathy for their loss," said Paul Spence, CEO of Southeast Texas Industries.
The company has notified and says it's working closely with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) to investigate the incident and to determine the cause.
