After receiving consent from Bolton, detectives conducted a search of the car and discovered a pair of men’s athletic shoes in the trunk of the car that smelled of drugs. During further investigation, detectives searched the shoes that William’s was wearing and recovered ten plastic bags containing a total of over ten ounces of cocaine, with an estimated street value of over $20,000, hidden inside the shoes beneath the insoles.
