BEAUMONT - From Beaumont Animal Services - After the first two months of the competition, Beaumont Animal Services is ranked 33rd out of the 48 best shelters in the country in the Rachel Ray Challenge.
With the current total of lives saved at 163, we still need 294 more adoptions or lives saved to reach our goal of 300 more lives saved than we did in the same time frame in 2011.
Beaumont Animal Services is encouraging the community to support them and the animals in three different ways.
1. Adopt, Adopt, Adopt! Remember, the contest ends at 5 PM on October 31st, 2012.
2. Vote for our shelter in the second round of Voting, which Begins this Wednesday.
3. Spread the word for your friends to adopt and vote! The Community Engagement round of voting begins this Wednesday, October 17, 2012.
You can vote by computer at www.votetosavelives.org. Select Beaumont Animal Services and you will be asked to add the Facebook Application. Once you add the application you be taken to the Shelter’s page to place your vote. (You will only need to add the Facebook application the first time you vote.)
Save the page and come back to vote each day.
Voting is not available via smart phone or iPad. Voting by text message, phone or email is not possible.
Remember, the voting begins at Eleven a.m. on October 17, and ends at 10:59 p.m. on October 31.
The Animals and Beaumont Animal Services appreciate and thank everyone in the community for supporting us during this exciting competition.
Please continue to spread the word during these last few weeks.
