JEFFERSON COUNTY - by Kalie Desimone - Tuesday is election day and administrators overseeing the voting say they're ready for large crowds.
Success so far. That's how Theresa Goodness with the County Clerk's Office describes the early voting process. She's hopeful all will go according to plan Tuesday.
The electronic voting machines are already in place at the Courthouse.
In order to vote you must cast a ballot in your precinct. If you aren't sure where that is you can always check with the voter registration office or click here.
Your precinct is listed on your voter registration card.
"We do expect a large voter turnout," Goodness told KFDM News. "We encourage voters to come out and vote early, allow plenty of time, be patient with the poll workers and they will move as quickly as they can."
About 68,000 people cast ballots during early voting in Jefferson County which ended Friday.
Goodness says that's about 60 percent of voters in the county.
She credits plenty of locations and extended hours for the increase in early voters.
