AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - The polls are closed in almost all of Texas for Tuesday's general election.
All but a few counties near El Paso stop voting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Polls in Galveston County are also open almost two hours late due to computer problems earlier Tuesday.
Far West Texas polls close one hour later. Galveston County is expected to stay open until just before 9 p.m.
Besides Tuesday's election for president, Texas voters are choosing between Republican Ted Cruz and Democrat Paul Sadler for U.S. Senate. There are also a number of contested races for U.S. House and the Texas Legislature.
