HOUSTON - From KHOU TV and www.khou.com - A Channelview father severely beat his 9-year-old son with an extension cord and rammed his head into a wall because the boy misbehaved in school, according to Harris County Precinct 3 deputy constables.
Stacey James Lumpkin was charged with felony injury to a child.
Lumpkin’s son got in trouble at school on December 5, which allegedly prompted the beating. Lumpkin had an extension cord wrapped around his closed fist when he punched his son in the mouth. He then beat the boy with the extension cord and smashed his head in the wall twice.
Lumpkin told the boy’s mother over the phone that he had “just put that little (expletive) head through the wall,” according to court documents.
The mother arrived home to find several bruises and raised skin from the welts on her son’s body. She then called to report the abuse.
A warrant was issued for Lumpkin’s arrest.
