BEAUMONT - From CHRISTUS Health Foundation
Southeast Texas is thrilled to announce that Don Henley will headline the 33rd Annual Gala, set for April 20, 2013 at the Beaumont Civic Center.
Mr. Henley is known for his both his iconic band the EAGLES and his solo career. Beginning in the early 1970’s, he has never stopped writing, singing and drumming his way into our hearts. Each song he writes and album he creates captures the essence of every decade. He also crosses every genre of music. To date, Henley has sold 120 million albums and won 3 Grammys as a member of the EAGLES. In addition, he has created 4 additional platinum albums and won 2 other Grammys as a solo artist. As other artists come and go, Henley and the EAGLES grow more popular with each passing generation. Henley is currently touring with the EAGLES and Showtime is airing a much anticipated documentary* about the band on February 15 & 16.
The night of the event, the Foundation along with Gala Chairs, Susanne and Robert Birdwell, M.D., will pay tribute to the Mamie McFaddin Ward Heritage Foundation and its trustees. The McFaddin Family has been long time supporters of world class health care services close to home through projects such as recent renovations to the Mamie McFaddin Ward Cancer Center at CHRISTUS Hospital – St. Elizabeth.
The black tie benefit provides an opportunity for an intimate evening of entertainment starting with cocktails at 7 p.m. followed by a gourmet meal at 8, all leading to Don Henley’s performance at 9:30. Tables for eight start at $3000. Seating is limited and expected to sell out fast. To learn more or to receive a personalized invitation, please call (409) 899-7555.
