Police say she and one of her son's were shot multiple times before they died.
The person of interest is another son of the retired teacher.
Police say when they located Keith Turner today, he started shooting at officers.
Police say the retired teacher and a son were killed early Saturday morning in their southwest Houston home.
Homicide detectives with the Houston Police Department said that at about 8 a.m. a woman discovered the bodies of her mother and her brother.
They were in the living room of their home in the 7100 block of Bahia Lane near Blue Ridge Road.
