BEAUMONT - FROM SMG
SMG, the management company of Ford Park, has announced that it has teamed up with Fort Worth-based Watchmesports.com to stream baseball and softball tournament games live from Ford Fields over the Internet. Ford Fields, already one of the premiere youth baseball/softball complexes in the US hosting 8000 youth games in 2012 and home to Lamar University softball, is now one of a very select few facilities in the entire country that has all fields wired with professional video cameras, audio, high-speed bandwidth, and sophisticated player software has many of the features of a television broadcasted game - pitch count, run count, and runner base position graphics.
"We are absolutely thrilled to be on the leading edge of youth sports tournaments and complexes; being able to offer parents, grandparents, and friends the ability to watch these exciting games even though they cannot physically make it out to the ball park. The live streaming of games gives teams one more reason to choose tournaments at Ford Park over competing tournaments in the region," said John Hughes, General Manager of Ford Park. "Providing families with the ability to share in their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, or nieces and nephews special moments scoring the winning run or catching the final out, despite their geographic location, is what it's all about."
To view the live and archived game streams, go to fordpark.com, create an account, and for just $14.95 you can watch ALL games during a weekend tournament LIVE as well as re-watch those games for up to one year. For an additional $4.95 you can download a particular game to your computer and edit the footage, or burn to a DVD - perfect for creating your favorite player's own personal highlight reel! (Prices may be subject to taxes and/or service fees.)
