Former Central HS student turned teacher arrested

KFDM News - A
former Central High School student athlete -- who went on to become a teacher -- was arrested and
charged with improper relationship with a student.

Daimon Sweet, most recently a history teacher at Morton Ranch High School in Katy, was booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond was set at $30,000.

Katy ISD officials say the investigation began
with an anonymous text message sent to an administrator on May 15.

The message alleged a sexual relationship between the 44-year-old Sweet and a 17-year-old student.

Investigators say both of them denied it when interviewed. Officers then searched the girl's cell phone, and she admitted the affair happened, according to district officials.
