ACAPULCO, Mexico (AP) -- The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Hurricane Manuel has made landfall in northern Mexico.
The storm has maximum sustained winds of 75 mph (120 kph) and it's centered about 95 miles (150 kilometers) southeast of Los Mochis in Sinaloa state.
Meanwhile, the government is trying to reach a tiny coffee-growing village deep in the country's southern mountains, where officials fear 58 people may have died in a landslide.
