Cowboys sign speedy WR and defensive lineman
SAN ANTONIO (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys have signed a college
track standout who hasn't played football since high school and a
defensive lineman to supplement an injury-plagued position.
Teddy Williams has been a standout sprinter at Texas-San Antonio
for the past four years. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver last
played football at John Tyler High School in Tyler, but he was on
the practice field for the Cowboys' workout Thursday after signing
a contract.
The Cowboys also signed defensive lineman Jimmy Saddler-McQueen
from Texas A&M-Kingsville, whom Chicago Bears cut in the spring.
Cowboys defensive linemen Sean Lissemore (groin), Josh Brent
(broken hand) and Jason Hatcher (elbow) missed practice with
injuries.
