Houston's Schaub Practices, Still Listed Day-to-Day
HOUSTON (AP) - Injured Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub practiced today as he recovers from a hip bruise.
Schaub is still listed as day to day for Sunday's game against San Diego.
Backup Sage Rosenfels took most of the snaps in team drills
Schaub got hurt Sunday when Tennessee's Albert Haynesworth delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit on him. The quarterback also injured his left ankle earlier in that game.
With Schaub's availability in question, the Texans have signed Shane Boyd to their practice squad.
The Texans and the Chargers are awaiting word from the NFL on where and when their game will be played, since San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium is a wildfires evacuation site.
Texans owner Bob McNair says the game could be played in Houston, but he thinks it's still is most likely to be held at Qualcomm Stadium.
Another scenario would be for the game to be played at a neutral site, such as Texas Stadium in Irving, since the Cowboys are on a bye week.
