BPD: Suspect in custody for murder of Nicholas Rosen

KFDM News - Beaumont Police say they have a man in custody charged with fatally shooting a 22 year old Bridge City man in Beaumont following a drug deal. On Wednesday, May 8 at 10 p.m., Beaumont police arrested Derek Stewart Robinson, 23, at a service station at Tram and Eastex.

Justice of the Peace Nancy Beaulieu issued an arrest warrant on a murder charge and set bond at $1 million.

Investigators say Robinson is accused of shooting Nicholas Rosen in the head April 4 in the 1000 block of Gage Street. Police say a driver had traveled to a home for a drug deal and Rosen was a passenger in the vehicle. Investigators say someone fired a shot into the rear windshield as the driver was leaving and Rosen was struck in the head. He died April 18 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
