Another round of heavy rain moving through portions of SE Texas today. Some heavy showers and thunderstorms were as far north as China and Nome this morning. By this evening most of the rain will start to move out. Highs today will reach the mid 80's. Our coverage of showers goes down to 50% for Friday with highs in the upper 80's.
Rain causes minor flooding in region
SOUTHEAST TEXAS - As much as six inches of rain fell in parts of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana when a line of storms moved across the region overnight. There's still a 70% chance of rain Friday and 80% Saturday.

One viewer reported six inches of rain between midnight and 4 a.m. where he lives on FM 421 in Lumberton.
There was minor flooding reported in the region but by daybreak most of the water had receded.
No schools are closed but in Port Arthur high water might have delayed some school buses.
