Hebert High School 10th Mass Reunion shows Panther Pride

KFDM News - The long-time slogan: Panther Pride will never die rang true Saturday at the Hebert High School Mass Reunion Parade, which kicked off with grand rhythm.

The parade started near Sarah Street and ended at the Clifton Ozen High School parking lot. The parade included a band battle.

The Hebert High School Alumni Association is celebrating its 10th Mass Reunion.

Parade Marshal Tracy Redeaux spoke about what she hopes the community will take away from the celebrations.

She said it's important for youth to know their roots and history. She went on to say that Hebert High School has given a great deal to the community and was the heart of the community.

Redeaux, who was honored in the alumni association's Hall of Fame, said the school produced many great scholars, athletes and professionals and the Hebert High School Alumni Association wants Southeast Texans to remember what a great institution that Hebert was in community.

The mass reunion celebrates graduating classes from 1924 to 1982, and ends on Sunday with a prayer breakfast, worship service and memorial.
