Another hot start for the coast and the lakes. With moisture in place, we could see a repeat of the isolated showers and t-storms as we saw yesterday. Highs today will again reach the lower 90's. By Friday and through the weekend, we will see the moisture out and hot temps on the rise. Look for mid and upper 90's by Sunday and Monday.

Three transported following two vehicle accident

Three people were transported to the hospital following a two vehicle accident that occurred around 12:40 p.m. Thursday on FM 366 between Port Neches and Twin City Highway, according to Department of Public Safety Trooper Stephanie Davis.

A 16-year-old Nederland boy was traveling north on FM 366 in a 2006 Toyota when he fell asleep and crossed the center lane, striking a 1996 Ford truck driven by a 50-year-old Port Neches man named Scott Stewart, Davis stated.

The left front of the Jason Hotchkiss Toyota collided with the left front of Stewarts truck, Davis said.

Hotchkis as well as Stewarts passenger, 47-year-old Donny Wilson, were transported by EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital while Stewart was airlifted to the same hospital, Davis stated.
