Bicyclist killed in collision with pickup truck

HARDIN COUNTY - A man riding a bicycle died Tuesday night in a collision north of Silsbee.

According to information provided to KFDM News by Captain Wayne McDaniel with the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, the department received a 911 call shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday reporting a collision between a pickup truck and  bicycle.

A Silsbee man was riding the bicycle. He died in the collision near the intersection of Brittonville and Highway 92 north of Silsbee.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating.

Troopers aren't releasing the victim's name until they notify relatives.
