Overturned truck in median of Highway 90 slows traffic

JEFFERSON COUNTY - Volunteer firefighters used hydraulic equipment to remove a driver from his overturned truck in the median of Highway 90 in Jefferson County.

The man's truck overturned after 8 a.m. on Highway 90 near Thompson Road. The truck ended up in the median.

The China Volunteer Fire Department and DPS responded. Volunteer firefighters used hydraulic equipment to remove the driver from the wreckage. First responders say his injuries aren't life threatening.

Troopers blocked one lane of traffic on each side of Highway 90 while they worked the accident.

The truck was carrying bags of material used to mark the highway with stripes.
