Conoco building in west Houston evacuated due to chemical leak

HOUSTON - by KHOU 11 News and staff

A Conoco building in west Houston was evacuated Wednesday morning because of a chemical leak.

It happened at a building on the huge campus in the 600 block of N. Dairy Ashford.

The leak reportedly involved chlorine.

The Houston Fire Department sent ambulances and a HAZMAT unit to the scene as a precaution.

There are no reports of injuries.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area around N. Dairy Ashford and N. Eldridge.
