KHOU: Newborn baby abandoned at dumpster is out of the hospital, finds new home

HOUSTON - by KHOU 11 News and staff

A newborn baby found near a southeast Harris County dumpster on one of the hottest days of the year is finally out of the hospital and has been placed with a family that is licensed to foster and adopt children.

Baby Aiden was found at the Park Center Apartments located in the 12300 block of Beamer. A man found him wrapped in a t-shirt between the apartment dumpster and the fence with his umbilical cord and placenta still attached.

The infant had been receiving medical care at Texas Childrens Hospital.

He was released from the hospital on Wednesday and was heading to a new home.

Deputies were unable to locate the boys parents.

Anyone with information about the identity of the infants parents is urged to contact law enforcement or CPS at 800-252-5400.
