Orange police and DEA arrest nine suspects from multiple count indictment
Nine people were arrested by officers from the Orange Police Department's narcotics division, along with the DEA, in connection to a multiple count indictment Friday, a news release stated.
Sgt. Jason Laughlin of the Orange Police Department's narcotics division opened an investigation into a ring of people obtaining fraudulent prescriptions from a local doctor's office about one year ago, the release stated.
An office employee of the doctor's office was forging the prescriptions as part of a larger ring of people, who would then pick up the drugs at local pharmacies and bring them back to the ring leader for cash or drugs, according to police.
The local doctor was not involved in the situation, police stated.
The Orange County Grand Jury returned 23 indictments on 10 people involved in the wrong on Wednesday, August 14th, the release stated.
The following nine individuals were arrested Friday:
Debra Godfrey (7 counts)
Glen Dorrell (2 counts)
Peggy Gisclair (1 count)
Kacey Larkin (2 counts)
Candy Rash (4 counts)
Brittany Manning (1 count)
Derrik Tregre (2 counts)
Olivia Wilson (2 counts)
Brian Larkin (1 count)
One suspect, Gary Miller (1 count), is still at large.
