RAW VIDEO: Vandalism at Getz law office one day after court victory in BISD case

BEAUMONT - An attorney who has filed a number of lawsuits against the Beaumont school district believes there might be a link between  one of those cases and a recent act of vandalism at his law office.

This is surveillance video taken at about one in the morning last Friday, August 23, outside the law office of Michael Getz in the 1300 block of Broadway in Beaumont.

If you watch closely, you can see the figure of what appears to be a man. The person walks up to the office, looks around briefly, then picks up an object and tosses it at a window. That object turned out to be a large piece of concrete. The man runs away after the glass shatters.

Getz had to clean up the glass, replace the window and meet with police.

He says the act of vandalism came just one day after he won a court case against the Beaumont ISD--a case involving the Open Meetings Act.

If you have information about the vandalism, call Beaumont Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS. You could earn a cash reward and operators won't ask for your name.
