Drier air moves in for today. Still a very hot afternoon expected. Temps in the mid 90's. A dry weekend is in store with mid and upper 90's. We'll start to see rain chances return by Monday. But we start the week off in the upper 90's. More rain through mid week will drop our afternoon highs down to the lower 90's through Wednesday.

Dupont investigating leak that forced employees to seek shelter

BEAUMONT - Dupont is investigating the cause of a leak that forced workers to seek shelter for several hours at the plant.

The leak was reported Tuesday at about 5:30 a.m. sulfuric acid, benzene compounds, and traces of benzene were leaked out of a unit.

Dupont had workers inside the plant find shelter and kept other workers from coming inside to begin their shifts.

No one was hurt, and Dupont cleared the scene at about 10 a.m.

The company is investigating the cause of the leak.
