Elderly couple found dead in Houston-area home

HOUSTON (AP) -- Investigators say an elderly couple has been found dead of gunshot wounds in their Houston-area home.

Harris County sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday evening to the home in Spring, about 20 miles north of Houston. They met with a son of the couple and other family members who had just arrived and found the bodies of 80-year-old Harold Crampton and 78-year-old Marion Crampton.

Authorities are categorizing the incident as a murder investigation. Investigators said Thursday that no suspect has been identified and the motive is unclear.

No other information was immediately available.
