Celebrating American Revolution ties

BEAUMONT - Beaumont's daughters of the American Revolution celebrated the u-s constitution as part of national constitution week.
The national organization started the tradition in 1955.

Today, they honored the important document during a luncheon.
Each of the colonel George Moffetts chapters 160 members proved lineage to the American Revolution before joining.

They celebrated their ancestors that fought in the American Revolution. They're commemorating that fight and sacrifice to the constitution during this week long celebration. At the luncheon they listened to speakers, ate cake and got a chance to see the original thirteen colonies' flags. They hope more people take the time to remember the document.

National Constitution week lasts September 17th to the 21st.
