A dry weather pattern will continue for the next few days with below normal temperatures. In fact, scattered frost can be expected Sunday morning over the Lakes Area. Head on collision in Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY - PRESS RELEASE - At approximately 8:40pm, there was a two vehicle crash on FM 1131 near Four Oaks Ranch Road which injured six people.
A 1996 Chevrolet truck was traveling eastbound on FM 1131. A 1992 Chevrolet truck was traveling westbound on FM 1131. The driver of the 1992 Chevrolet truck crossed into the eastbound traffic lane striking the 1996 truck. All occupants were transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the 1996 truck was 36 year old Ronald Collier of Vidor. The passengers included his wife and three minor children, ages 3, 8 and 9. The youngest child was secured in a car seat and all other occupants were secured by seat-belts. The driver of the 1992 truck was 18 year old Kasey Watkins of Vidor. Watkins was cited for Failure to Drive in a Single Lane.
