Southeast Texas gets relief from drought
KFDM News - While most of Texas still faces a drought, Jefferson County is seeing some relief.
The impact of previous droughts is still being felt, but the AgriLife Extension Office says a long, steady spell of rain could provide relief to an area already out of drought status and without any burn bans.
While those numbers are picking up from years past, they are still not high enough. A week of dry weather after the rain could cancel out any benefits.
The AgriLife Extension Office says residents should conserve water even when there isn't a drought.
