Ex- girlfriend shot former boyfriend
PRESS RELEASE - On Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 3:31 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 3000 block of Marie. Dispatch received calls that someone had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and all the people involved in the disturbance were gone. Officers secured the scene and a short time later the victim arrived at Baptist Hospital by private-auto.
The victim, 31 year old Beaumont man, reported he was at home with his current girlfriend. His ex-girlfriend showed up at the residence and started a disturbance. During the disturbance the ex-girlfriend pulled out a handgun and began shooting at the victim. The ex-girlfriend fled the scene by vehicle. The victim was later transferred to St. Elizabeth Hospital and suffered two gunshot wounds to his shoulder area and rear back leg. None of the injuries were life threatening.
This incident is still under investigation and the ex-girlfriend is not in custody at this time.
