BEAUMONT - Two people were arrested in connection to a burglary early Wednesday morning by Beaumont police in the 2100 block of Nora.

Police were dispached to an alarm at a residence in the 2100 block of Nora and when they arrived officers noticed that the front door to the residence had been forced open.

Officers went inside and cleared the residence and as they were leaving they came across four people who appeared to be coming back for a second trip, police said.

When they saw the officers, the suspects ran and the officers gave chase, police said.

Out of the four people, two were caught by officers and were transported to the Jefferson County Jail and were charged with burglary of a habitation and evading arrest/detention, police said.
