A good coverage of showers and thunderstorms is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning. Some of the storms will be locally heavy with isolated rainfall totals between 1-2 inches possible. Drier and cooler air will take over Monday and Tuesday.
Gov. Perry Appoints Tracy as District Attorney of Newton County
PRESS RELEASE Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Courtney Tracy of Newton as district attorney of Newton County, effective Oct. 31, 2013 for a term to expire at the next general election.
Tracy is an attorney in private practice and former assistant city attorney for the City of Houston. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She is also president of the Newton Chamber of Commerce and event chair of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Newton County.
Tracy received a bachelors degree from Texas A&M University and a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
