Beaumont man sentenced to 25 years for aggravated robbery and attempted capital murder of a police officer

A Jefferson County judge sentenced a Beaumont man to 25 years behind bars for aggravated robbery and attempted capital murder of a police officer.

Ronnie James Lafleur admitted he pointed a pistol at the store clerk during a robbery at KRS Food Mart located in the 3000 block of Pine Street in December of 2012.

Lafleur pulled the trigger but the gun did not discharge.

Then Lafleur shot at officers while trying to the leave the Mart.

Lafleur has 13 prior felony convictions and nine prior misdemeanor convictions.
