Church celebrates annual octoberfest

BEAUMONT-

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Beaumont brought together the community through food and fun this weekend.

The church celebrated their annual 'Octoberfest.' People at the festival ate food, played games and bought raffle tickets.

Brenda Greene, president of the church's Parish Council, said it's a way to raise money for church development and bring the community together.

"We hold Octoberfest mainly to bring our community together, to bring the church together, to bring activity out here so that we have somewhere to go and have just good clean fun," Greene said.

The two-day festival wrapped up today.
