Jasper City Council to discuss police chief vacancy after Aaron Tyksinski declines offer

JASPER - Just days after the city of Jasper voted to hire a new police chief, he declined the offer.

The city council will meet tomorrow to resume its discussion on who will
lead the police force.

The position had been vacant for four months when city leaders voted to hired Aaron Tyksinski on October 4th.

He is the gentleman in the white shirt in the video.

He told the council he was turning down the position in order to complete a doctoral degree and for family reasons.
