More of what we experienced on Sunday is making a repeat performance today. Plenty of sunshine mixed in with a few high level clouds. Dry weather will stick around for most of the week with another upper level system returning for the later half of next weekend.
Habitat for Humanity volunteers build home in north end of Beaumont
Habitat for Humanity volunteers have built homes in Jefferson County since 1979 and this is house number 116.
And volunteers are building the home in a special way. The 21 men and women raised money in order to take part in building the home.
The large group of community leaders and business owners raised $250 and then volunteered their time to help Habitat for Humanity finish the home in Beaumont's north end.
It is Ashley Campbell's first new home and if all goes as planned she'll move in before Christmas.
Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth trauma surgeon Dr. Dave Parkus who was recently on the TV show "Hero" kicked off Tuesday's project by putting in the first nail.
KFDM's own Justin Hinton also did some hammering and nailing for Habitat and helped raise money, too.
